Wellness Dance Therapy: Physical Transformation and Wellbeing for Older People
Welcome to Wellness Dance Therapy, an innovative programme developed by Physio Connection UK CIC that combines the benefits of physiotherapy and dance to enhance the quality of life for older adults. Led by expert Freddy Espin and in collaboration with renowned consultant Honey Kalaria, this project offers a unique experience that promotes both physical health and emotional wellbeing in later life.
What Does Our Programme Include?
Weekly Therapeutic Dance Classes
Every Saturday, we offer two one-hour sessions in care homes, designed and led by physiotherapists specialising in therapeutic dance techniques. These classes focus on improving the mobility and flexibility of participants.
Personalised Health Advice
Once a month, participants have access to a free space to receive personalised health and wellbeing guidance tailored to their specific needs.
Annual Health and Wellbeing Festival
We organise an annual event in London that celebrates health and wellbeing. This festival includes inspiring talks, interactive workshops, and activities designed to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Key Benefits
Physical Improvement
Through therapeutic dance, participants experience improvements in their mobility, flexibility, and a significant reduction in chronic pain.
Emotional Wellbeing
The programme helps to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, fostering a positive mental state and greater self-esteem.
Social Connection
Group sessions create a community and support environment, helping participants to build meaningful relationships and combat social isolation.
